The Fox Frontier Bivvy – A Closer Look

The idea of the Fox Frontier bivvy range was to create the ultimate bivvy for anglers. After 5 years of development, Fox has come up with a series of innovations that provide everything you could need in a fishing bivvy. Here’s a deep look at some of the key new features you’ll find on the Frontier:

New Easy Tensioning System

Every bivvy in the Frontier range comes with Fox’ new Easy Tensioning System (ETS). This new central boss system has a reinforced, lightweight aluminium skeleton and moulded keyed elbow joints, which make it super-quick to assemble the bivvy with no twisting of the frame whatsoever.

Simply lock the elbows of the ribs and use the boss to fan them out before setting the three tensioning ribs at the front of the bivvy. It could hardly be easier.

Tried and Tested VenTec Material

The VenTec material has been present on Fox bivvies in the past and many anglers will be glad to see it being used on the Frontier. The material is super durable and comes in at a massive waterproof rating of 20,000mm hydrostatic head.

The inside of the bivvy comes with a Khaki Laminate “blackout” lining to reduces light penetration and help to regulate the temperature in the bivvy.

Multiple Panel Configurations

The solid front infill panels on the Frontier bivvy are all removable so you can configure the bivvy to be either open-front brolly style or like a traditional shelter. The panels also have a letterbox style door, which can be removed and allows for three door options: solid infill, camo mozzy mesh and clear PVC.

In addition to the front panels, the Frontier comes with 2 large camo mesh vents at the rear of the bivvy for increased ventilation when the conditions call for it.
